Peru is a country in western South America. It is bordered on the north by Ecuador and Colombia, on the east by Brazil, on the southeast by Bolivia, on the south by Chile, and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. Its main economic activities include agriculture, fishing, mining, and manufacturing of products such as textiles and jewelry.
The Peruvian population, estimated at 28 million, is multiethnic, including Indigenas, Europeans, Africans and Asians.
The main spoken language is Spanish, although a significant number of Peruvians speak Quechua or other native languages.
From ancestral times, Peruvian jewelry had an important role in Incan society. The Incan population used gold and silver to make jewelry for the Inca to use in his ornaments. Peruvian jewelry has various styles and colors. We use natural stones like TURQUOISE, SODALITE, ANDEAN OPAL, ROSE QUARTZ, ONYX, RHODONITE and more. As for metal, I use alpaca silver. Alpaca silver has properties like stainless steel and will not tarnish or rust. It is alloy of others metals.
We make a variety of jewels that include NECKLACES , EARRINGS, BRACELETS, RINGS, slave bracelets, hair clips, slopes, and anklets. 100% of our Peruvian Jewelry is handmade by artisans. There isn’t any study to indicate how many artisans live in Peru. The majority are immigrants from the interior of Peru to the capital Lima, including me. We develop and live from this endeavor that has been passed on to us from our ancestors, particularly our grandparents and our great grandparents who also made their living from crafts.
